has anyone tried increasing the size of the bootup logo ??

Yes i use it on my 7" as fulscreen. 800 x 480 =).

You can see it in the video below. It directly boots to a QT application
after the fullscreen linux logo.

Modify the ppm file located at
<kernel_source_dir>/drivers/video/logo/logo_linux_clut224.ppm

(when saving them modified image, as i remember, it should be ascii encoded
and has maximum color palette size 224)

Recompile the kernel.

yep thats ryt! I tried increasing the logo size and compiled but when
booted logo was missing. Are you sure you r using logo 800x480? which
kernel version  is that 2.6.32.2 or 2.6.29 ??

I use both versions without any problem with full resolution. 800 x 480
