JTAG parallel and usb

my laptop doesn't have parallel is i buy adaptator usb parallel the jtag it
work ?

its 25 pin prallel.

No, normal USB to LPT adapter will not work. They are only for printers.
You will need a special one like

Or a USB-JTAG adapter: Amontec, Signalyzer... But they dont have the right
connector and you cannot use them with H-JTAG.

Hi,

I was able to work with Jtag to flash files using my old pc which came with
parallel port by default. The old PC became unusable, and in my new PC
parallel port is not available. So I tried first with USB to Parallel Port
converter and found that it will work for printers alone. So I bought PCI
express parallel port card and connected to the PC. Now also the Jtag
server is showing the same message what it prompted for usb to parallel
port converter. that message is "Can't open the H-Jtag Usb Hardware.Please
check the connection." So far I have spent above 1000 INR to make it work. 

Please tell me the exact accessory or solution so that I can make the 7500
INR worth mini2440 board work.If it is not possible then this is a product
of hell. Atleast the product should have supported by any accessories to
adapt the new trend I hope, otherwise I have the only option to dispose the
mini2440 board and waste the 7500 INR.

This product and processors are already very old. I am using these boards
for more than four years. I used old pc to flash bootloader on NOR 5-6
times only because i never faced any problem with NOR bootloader.

New boards come with Superboot, It has functionality to flash NOR it self
from SD Card. (GREAT feature). Similar functionality not found on
SuperVivi.
Only One Occasion when i need to use Jtag is when i want Superboot on my
SuperVivi board.

If you don't Understand all these than you are just a piece of shit as
board is for you.

I bought this board before two years. If this board is not having support
even for this short term, support like providing any low cost accessories
to carry over the product for some more time, Do I have to keep on buying
the new products whenever published to build Friendly Arm business?

I am not sure you are the authorized person to say that product is old
/obsolete or saying the words like "If you don't Understand all these than
you are just a piece of shit " and take care to mind your words, as my
words came out as I am feeling the pain of loss.

Hi Ayyappan,

You can try one of the Chinese JLink clones. You can find them on
Alibaba.com. Make sure you buy the JTAG multi-connector adapter board (very
low cost). Both will not cost you more than 15-20 USD in all.

I have been successfully using these tools from the ADS 1.2 IDE (via ARM
JTAG-RDI interface DLL) to debug bootloader issues. So I guess you needn't
worry too  much about H-JTAG and parallel port JTAG adapters any more!

   The H-JTAG of Friendlyarm is parallel port turn JTAG . If your boards
were two year ago , you can use supervivi or superboot , but I suggest you
using superboot beacuse of its more powerful functions . If you have any
problem , you can send email to me , I can give you some idea and the
newest file of image . 
If you can send me a video of your steps , it is best .
