uboot splash

When turning on the mini2440 and waiting until the kernel frame buffer
driver comes online the LCD looks horrible. This can take 5-6 seconds
depending on uboot settings etc.

Does anyone know if the splash screen option is available in buserrors
uboot? According to this page:

A splash screen patch was applied. It requires a new partition in the nand
and some playing with images, but i didn't know (and couldn't work out how
to find out) if the latest uboot for the mini2440 has this option
functioning.

Anyone got any ideas?
