NanoPC with Ubuntu 13.10: S70 screen does not work

Dear all,
I've got a NanoPC-T1 with the S70 resistive touch screen.

Booting Ubuntu 13.10 from SD, the S70 screen shows only the terminal and
the login string. No desktop manager on it. Connecting the board to an
external monitor through the HDMI interface, on the other hand, I can see
XFCE desktop environment.

Can you help me please?

This is the error string I got on the F7 console:
"plymouthd: ply-terminal.c:611: ply_terminal_open: Assertion `terminal !=
((void *)0)` failed."
