Greetings! I have been tinkering with the available software for the nanopc-t1. When I first received the box I plugged it to my TV-monitor and HDMI worked fine. Then I booted from the downloadable Ubuntu 13.08 image (which turned out to be 13.10) and there was no HDMI output but the system was reachable via ssh. I installed it to the MMC with the included script and the box booted fine by itself - still without HDMI output. So I downloaded the android installation and used it to auto-flash the MMC with android. It seemed to work cause after some time the LEDs stopped blinking and after the reboot the system was PING-able - no SSH though and still no HDMI output. So I went back to Ubuntu 13.10 I successfully applied a do-dist-upgrade and after about one hour the system booted 14.04 LTS which is exactly what I need - except still without HDMI output. I checked/switched my HDMI cable and monitor just to be sure. Both are working. I checked all logfiles for errors that I could find and there are only 2 lines that concern me: " Mali: MALI Error : failed to get vdd_g3d " in /var/log/kern.log and " AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/dri/armsoc_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/dri/armsoc_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)" in /var/log/Xorg.0.log What confuses me most is that in /var/log/Xorg.0.log the display is detected correctly. There is no error and any display I tried keeps saying "no signal". I will provide my Xorg.0.log as an attachment and if you ask for it I can provide any other logfiles. Thank you for any assistance. Christian
nanoPC-T1 no HDMI output possible
Hi Christian, I am trying to download the Ubuntu image from the NanopC website, but after some time its disconnection,so can u kindly send me the Nanopc ubuntu image to my maild id k.sundeep2007@gmail.com through Google drive or dropbox.. Thanks for the help
The download from the baidu cloud never produced an extractable archive for me - always kept getting CRC errors. I got my image from here: http://nel.novelelectronics.pl/wspolpraca/nanopc Many thanks to whoever uploaded that mirror...
Anyway: Here is a - presumably faster - download link from my Google Drive https://googledrive.com/host/0Bz17WZ8XYd-kcEMyeURldnZ4bHM This is an exact copy of the image from nel.novelectronics.pl website. As stated before I was unable to download a correct copy from the original website.
Hi Christan, Thanks a lot...will download and will get back to u after porting..thank you...also possible pls upload android too.
Uploaded ... it is in the same directory as the ubuntu-image. That file was downloaded from the nanopc.org website and had no CRC errors when extracting.
Managed to download a working copy of the ubuntu-image from the original website finally. Compared both files md5hash: They are identical. That was very my last idea why it isn't working.
HI chris, Have u also ported the original onto the board? here all look alike but a simple function may do all the noise buzz...so once port the original and check for the HDMI ouput..
If u require provide me that image also, will test the both on different scenarios and will update u the status..
I have added the "ubuntu_13.10_fresh_install" to the google drive folder. It is a DD image of the MMC after I booted the system twice after running the /UBUNTU_INSTALL/INSTALL.sh script from the original image. Still no HDMI-Output - but ssh works...
I think this problem can be considered SOLVED: I received another NanoPC-T1. Cloned my installation to the MMC and voilą: HDMI works. Even the UBUNTU-install image from the SDcard gives an HDMI output. I guess this proves that the HDMI-output from the first unit I received was just physically broken. I'll contact the manufacturer and see how they wish to proceed. Thanks for the assistance so far. Christian
