Device control via internet

Could you briefly describe how you are controlling devices via the
internet?

Is this via a ADSL connection or ?

Using Port Forwarding i am controlling the devices over the internet, but
cant able to stream the camera over internet IP address. Any idea abt it?

No idea about video streaming. Are you able to do it over your local
network? 

Port forwarding ... yes, but on a landline, ie ADSL?

Or on a SmartPhone?

Its ADSL...yes i can do the video streaming over the intranet(local network
perfectly).

Putting "video streaming over the internet" provides a lot of reading!

What do you use on your intranet? VLC? Which platform are you running this
on? mini2440?

Can you ping 8.8.8.8 from the command line?  Are you running a webbrowser
on the machine?

on linux platform using mjpg streaming algorithm  i can able to steam the
video over the intranet,i am using BOA webserver on the machine

Looking at one site
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/371955/Motion-JPEG-Streaming-Server
seems video streaming is done or can be done via HTTP.

When I had a look at BOA I recall having to learn CGI, because as far as I
understand it couldn't handle HTTP.

I run thttpd enabled for PHP5, but haven't tried to stream video over it so
can't tell you if that would be more successful.

This topic has been hi-jacked again.  You have a go at starting one that
addresses your particular problem and link to this one!

Think I have mixed up my terms here: let's change it to BOA can't handle
HTML.

I was reading through the early mini2440 user manual and there is an
example of running a USB webcam over the internet.
