Serial port not working

hi to all 
I'm starting with the board mini2440.... 
My application is a high speed weight scale. I am using Windows CE 6 image
that comes on CD with mini2440. I am using the serial port to get the data
information that comes from a microcontroller. These data from the serial
port is my weight information. this data is in byte format into a protocol.

However i am seeing a very large delay in the data reception of
application. I've written two codes, one in vb.net and another in C # both
reached the same performance. Who can give me a help I am very grateful.

Hello, 

I haven't made test with the serial port, but if I were you, i would start
to test with a simple application written in C/C++.
