No HDMI output from a new NanoPC-T1

Svetlin M.
Hi all,
I have just received the NanoPC-T1 ( which should be Tiny4412 shouldn't it
). I opened the box, connected the USB keyboard, the HDMI and the power and
I get a red led on. However no output to the HDMI at all ( TV stays in
black screen and HDMI input icon showing no signal ).

I checked the manual ( "NanoPC-T1 Manual 2014-01-24" on this site ) and it
says nothing about a first time boot. I connected it via USB to my Linux
box and I get the following from dmesg:

[ 5167.108215] usb 2-2: new high-speed USB device number 4 using ehci-pci
[ 5167.241896] usb 2-2: New USB device found, idVendor=18d1, idProduct=d011
[ 5167.241909] usb 2-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=3,
SerialNumber=4
[ 5167.241917] usb 2-2: Product: Full Android on TINY4412
[ 5167.241925] usb 2-2: Manufacturer: FriendlyARM (www.arm9.net)
[ 5167.241932] usb 2-2: SerialNumber: 0123456789ABCDEF

Isn't Android on this system supposed to support HDMI output? Please help
me get it as I do not have any alternative to get control to the device.

Thanks,
Svetlin

Try changing the HDMI to:

LCD-Type = HDMI720p60

it's normally set for 1080 and maybe your TV cannot handle 1080p

Thanks Phil_in_China,

I suppose this setting is in FriendlyARM.ini, isn't it?
I could not find this file in my filesystem. I installed the following
Linux as Android was not showing any HDMI output:

Ubuntu-1308(Support HDMI and LCD) ( as on the page:
http://nanopc.org/NanoPC-T1_Feature.html )

I checked /images in the Linux partition and /images is empty. Is the
images folder supposed to be in the Linux partition on the SD card? I see
there is also another partition marked as Windows-fat but the filesystem
must not be vfat as I could not mount it on my Linux Mint.

Can somebody send me the full content of the correct FriendlyARM.ini for
Ubuntu-1308 and where exactly (which partition and which folder) should I
copy it, please?

Also my TV is Full HD and it works perfectly well with Raspberry PI.

Thanks,
Svetlin

For ubuntu you set it from command line. See:
