How to write a device driver leds in friendlyARM??

Hi all

I'm very new to FriendlyARM board. My board has 2.6.29.4-FriendlyARM
operating syatem insatlled in it. I would like to know whether I can write
a device driver module for the leds in the board and if possible what all
softwares should I use???Pls help me...Any help is appreciated.
