My Mini2440 plays audio "intermittently". Its almost like its repeating samples. (Recordings of original and broken audio attached) I play the audio using aplay Ex: aplay /home/Sounds/Siren.wav I have had this problem before but fixed it. Now it has returned and I honestly can't remember what I did to fix it. Listen to the attached recording from the Mini2440 audio output. What could cause this and how can I rectify it?

Recent kernels seems to have trouble to control the DMA in a correct manner. Maybe you hit this problem. AFAIR Linux 3.2 was the last one which works correctly.
Thank you very much. Seems like you are right. Managed to get it working on my 2.6.38 kernel. I've been using kernel 3.7 lately. Any way of getting it to work on kernel 3.7? Thank you
Sorry, still no idea. They changed something in the DMA code and all kernels are broken since 3.3. I never get an answer from the developer.
