Is there a way to load my apk to several tiny210's over ethernet? I will be installing 30 of these next week and want to be able to load all of them with my app via ethernet.
App over ethernet
wow, I need to wake up a bit, if you have access to the apk via the internet then you should be able to load it from a web browser.
I use Dropbox or as Reggie mentioned, if you have a server you can load the apk there and access it via a browser on the Tiny210.
he's using gingerbread, it actually fails to download anything, complains about no usb storage (the way the unit is setup there is no sd card access, no usb access, no serial access, no wifi, this is by design). There is plenty of space left on the device but it seems that there is no user download area if you don't have an sd card in.
Hi, anyone please help me in configuring Ethernet with mini 210 android 4.0.3, i have done all the ip and proxy settings, the same settings run internet in my pc but not in the mini 210 kit. After all the settings it shows a red cross on the two computers seen in the right bottom corner.is there a problem in the hardware side?? but even the green and the yellow lights are showing a yes signal. I am confused Anousha
you need the latest version, android ICS does not have ethernet support at all, anything that works works by mistake not by design on it. The latest friendlyarm version has been patched for ethernet.
I've given up on the Wired Ethernet connection. It is just not reliable enough and as Reggie states, is not part of ICS anyway. I suggest you use the WiFi connection instead as this works very well on the Tiny210. I have a system running 24/7 and it has not once lost connection of stopped working. Far more reliable than the 6410 running Gingerbread was.
Thanks Reggie and Dave, but i have to use the ethernet port in the long run as my app demands it, now can you please tell me the latest version as i am using this one http://www.minidevs.com/Mini210-S5PV210.html and specifically how the new hardware is different from the old one from ethernet perspective,as i have to design my own android board with ethernet port working on it. should work, I have a RT-RoIP2 Radio over IP Gateway for tiny210v2. everything works through the ethernet port. I later try to understand how it is implemented.
описана реализация, но я слаб в английском
Thanks ZEAxm, I have another problem as well,I have just purchased a tiny 4412 kit , I have to use its Ethernet on android platform but in its setting the Ethernet turning on option is a label only its not turning off or on, more over even by-passing this issue I entered my IP addresses in Ethernet configuration option it said please reboot the board to apply settings, I rebooted several times but of no use, please send me those image files which allows Ethernet to turn on or that android version for tiny 4412 in which I can configure and use Ethernet(currently it has Android 4.2 by default)
