Not able to download rootfs_qtopia_qt4 into Mini2440

Hi,

I have newly brought Mini2440, and following the tutorial provided in this
link to load the linux

       At last step when i am pressing 'y' and using DNW loading the
"rootfs_qtopia_qt4.img" it is getting strucked and not moving at all. I
tired more times but not able to load it. Now what to do? Invested lot of
money in it? is anything wrong in the tutorial. I am also attaching the
image at where it is stopping...please help me...

Uploading the another trial image..this time stopped at 133 block...i am
using Windows 7 OS, is the problem with OS? Or my device? or the tutorials.

Can i anyone kindly post the procedure to load the linux into mini2440 in
ubuntu..any one kindly help me...all the other commands x,v,k functioned
well.,,i am using the rootfs provided in the dvd...what should i do..please
help

"newly bought" or "bought a new mini2440"?  I would expect a new unit to
have a working image on it.  Was this not the case for you?  Any history on
this device, ie is it used?

Sounds like you have a working bootloader in NOR or maybe an almost working
bootloader.

His tutorials are well written and gets useful feedback, so I would not
expect errors in them.

Where did you buy the unit? India?
Explain what you did since taking it out of the box.

You might have to learn how to JTAG a new bootloader in NOR but answer
these questions first.

      I have purchased the unit in india only, i have tried step by step
procedure as per the tutorials.It has a working bootloader when i got it,
now i erased entire Nand Flash using 'x' and 'f' commands and trying to
load the all the images, but the rootfs image is not loading, getting
struck at some block number...what should i do. Should i change the OS to
XP and try...And same with WinCE installation also....Kindly help

I'd try searching the forum, good chance someone has had this problem
before.

I think you are mixing up a few terms here.
By changing the OS I assume you mean on the host computer.  You can run
Linux, ie specific versions of Linux, with or without Qtopia and WinCE on
this target. Ubuntu and XP you only run on the host.

I would suggest that you get DWN to download the image files using a host
computer running XP or Win7 first. There are some drivers you have to
install first, but it looks like you got past that stage. 

I vaguely recall someone having the same problem with units sourced in
India.  Possibly the distributor did not sell the machine pre-loaded. 
Search the forum <india, mini2440>  Also, I would be talking to the
distributor about your problem.  I am sure I suggested that to someone
before.

distributor in india.

       Yes i have using Windws 7 on host, and installed every step
described in the tutorials provided online. But cantable to get through the
rootfs into Mini2440.Looking for help..
