Hi everyone, i wanna make "load cell amplifier" with Friendly ARM and don't know how to do it! /* Load Cell: is a transducer that is used to convert a force into electrical signal. (use to weighing materials) Load Cell Amplifier: use to show weight of materials. */ ...........................ANY HELP?................................
Making Load Cell Amplifier
http://www.leobodnar.com/products/LC-amp/ Only $20. 5Volt output, then use the ADC on the FriendlyArm to convert it to digital form. How are you going to display the result? There must be 100s of circuits on Google. Do some more research and come back with specific questions.
I am working on this at the moment for a client were I supplied a logger based around the Mini6410 running Android. I used a Microchip MCP3424 ADC to do the reading of the load cell. This is interface via I2C. It works very well. Watch the number of bits you need. Depending on the max load you will be reading, you may need more than the 10 bit ADC that is built into the processor. It all depends on the resolution you are after. The higher the load, the lower this will be. Good luck Dave...
Thanks a lot, here is what should I do in General! if you have any idea for helping Me! I am working on this Load Cell Amplifier for a Chemistry Factory that supposed to measure the substances for combination (between 5 to 500 kg) and sending informations to server PC. This information includes: Date,Substances type,Production line,Product type,Serial number ... ...and should be import by the person who is weighing and should be sent to the server automatic. (in Online mode)
In ttl mode read data from ADC board to your main board ( mini/micro). Process the weight related operations in mini board...for based on your requirement. send data to server using internet connection / GPRS modem.
It's good choice to make load cell amplifier. Please share some more information and techniques about load cells and your project. I am much interested in getting new techniques and usage of load cell with different things.
Recently i have bought some load cells which are much efficient in working you can also check these http://southoceansensor.com
