CE certification

jonny
Hi, I saw CE logo printed on some boards: micro2440 and mini2440. I would
like to know if these products comply to european rules about electronic
equipments.
Can you tell me something about lcds and their boards? are they compliant?

Armboarder
I need the answer too. If you have any information please write it, or give
a link. Thank you.

jonny
No It's not the CE logo, but it seems they are working about it.

jonny
Any news about it?

Andy
Look up CE marking self certification.

The CE on the boards is China Export - completely different!

Quite right. You do need to take precautions when using the micro2440 in
any design.

We struggled to get this board to pass the EMC emissions test. When
executing any program this board radiated at 50.625MHz (peripheral clock),
101.25MHz (memory clock), 151.875MHz (3rd harmonic), 202.5MHz (4th
harmonic) and so on.

I'd suggest ferrite beads on all lines and a screen the lot with a can!

Hello,

We are also trying to get this board to pass CE certification. Can you send
me detailed procedure what we need to do (where to put beads and the can)?
I would be very appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

We are also heaving difficulties passing radiation test. The Friendlyarm
board is mounted into 1mm metal enclosure (with openings) and well grounded
through all four mounting holes.

Attached is printout of Radiation scan. We tried with different grounding,
adding ferrite near CPU but couldn't get rid of 500Mhz peak.

Where should we put ferrite beads? Around supply lines, and all I/O? what
kind of ferrite do you prefer?

Any idea will be very appreciated.
Tnx!
Simon

Hello,

I need mini2440 with CE certificate for my projects in Europe, does
anyone have a solution? Maybe we could get together and share the costs
more?
