Wifi module - how to make it work with tiny6410?

3lite
So guys basically I want to connect to my home network or even make a
hotspot with that wifi module - loaded qtopia rootfs + a70 kernel and what
now? I have no idea how to configure it :/

Module looks like this:
http://www.kamami.pl/published/publicdata/BTC10/attachments/SC/products_...

While loading Linux on my ARM board I get this:
Try to bring eth0 interface up......cat: can't open
'/sys/class/net/eth0/address': No such file or directory
ifconfig: SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
route: SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable
Done

I'm really poor with knowledge about Linux or anything, hope you guys help
me putting that module on-line.

It is difficult to see how that module is connected to your dev board. USB,
serial or through connections on one of the headers?

Link to a datasheet may help.

Does the normal ethernet work properly?

Have you got an /etc/network/interfaces file? What does it say?

My tiny6410 looks like this:

It's tiny, it has only rs232 + host usb and extra space for two modules :P

davef
OK, it is connected via the headers.

Now, for the remaining 3 questions plus a link to a datsheet.

I am away for the next 2 days so hope someone can pick up from where I left
off.

Dave

Who made the dev board?

3lite
No idea.

Just for the record: I'm using rootfs_qtopia_qt4.ext3 rootfs so I do not
have file /etc/network/interfaces

That is a FriendlyARM Tiny6410-Easy Kit (No Ethernet). Sold in China and
not a lot of them around (looking at one in my hand). That is a FriendlyARM
Wifi and should show up in your /dev directory. If you see an Easy-Kit on
an English web site you can be 99% certain it is someone in China, like
Corewind or Minidevs or their related sites that try to look like they are
in California. You can find the boards on Taobao or dhgate if you want one.
