I have an mini 2440 with 1gb NAND flash.Till recently it was booting from NAND flash and i could use qtopia that was already installed. But suddenly when i tried to power on the device with the NAND flash in operation i can just see a white screen and nothing else. I do not what is the reason for it. What is the problem and the solution to this ?
White Screen
Work your NAND/NOR switch several times to make sure it is sliding well. Check the FFC connectors on the LCD and Mini2440. The blue part of the ribbon should have about half its length exposed and be exactly square in the FFC connector. Remove and reset (lift one end with a thumb nail) the oval FFC/PCB LCD connector on the Mini24440. Try again with a terminal like DNW or hyperterminal attached to the DB9 to see if the full Linux boot takes place.
i removed and connect back the bus from LCD and Mini .Still i see nothing other than the white screen when booting from NAND.
We are using mini 2440-128M... it came preinstalled with linux OS... our project required windows CE 5.0.... we are new to this so we started working with the procedure mentioned in the below given link.... http://alselectro.wordpress.com/2012/12/08/friendly-armmini-2440-install... we didn't know whick putty to use ... we have used "For Windows on Intel x86 PuTTY: putty.exe (or by FTP) (RSA sig) (DSA sig)" (it appears in the link mentioned in the procedure) then we obtained till BIOS window but even on pressing enter no options were displayed..... we repeated the procedure lot of times but in vain.... later 1 time we even unzipped the DNW and selected connect option in the serial port menu....(mentioning just in case this was the reason for white screen)... now we have been told that the OS is not there in mini2440 and we need to re-install OS... please can anybody help with the procedure to install win ce 5.0(we have image file of win ce 5.0)...
Hi the white screen is an indicator for too less voltage. Check the power supply while running the mini. greetings
