How to set 16 bit color depth in Linux?
VGA pallete settings
Are you sure you are running your Mini2440 with less then 64 k colours? All kernels I know using 64 k colours per default (RGB565).
"Are you sure you are running your Mini2440 with less then 64 k colours? All kernels I know using 64 k colours per default (RGB565)." Yes Sir. I have an image having 256 grey color bands. The image is very well displayed on x86 PC. But when it is viewed on the Mini2440 either on Linux or WinCE, the 256 grey color bands are approximated to 4 grey valued bands only ? I really don't know where the fault lies. Can you please suggest some fast booting latest Linux image for Mini2440 ? Thanks in advance. Please reply.
What does a "cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/bits_per_pixel" on a Linux system outputs? Here it outputs '16'
