Dear all, I have built ntp client on mini2440 system and the system clock is set to current time, say 13:00. When ever I enter, #ntpdate -u 192.168.1.204 (ntp server) 28 Nov 15:30:00 ntpdate[16148]: step time server 207.46.250.85 offset -0.686674 sec The sync time is 2 hrs 30 min more than the actual time. I havn't try this but it looks like your mini2440's local time is set to a region 2.5hrs ahead of where you live.

Dear Dan, Thanks a lot to you. According to you, the local time on mini2440 was configured to CST-8, i was getting wrong time. I changed to IST-5:30. with best regards, nikhil@amitech.
