Hi, I am on Linux PC. I try to "Download root_yaffs image" option "y" from the boot menu after selecting this option I get "USB host is connected, waiting to download" In windows I have the DNW tool, but how do I download in Linux. what is the DNW tool in Linux? Thanks a bunch.
Linux DNW , too ?
Hi, On the Linux PC you have to use the USB upload tool, http://code.google.com/p/mini2440/downloads/detail?name=s3c2410_boot_usb...= From a terminal session you have to start s3c2410_boot_usb with the filename of the file you want to upload, description over here http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/S3c2410_boot_usb Good luck, Ben
I suppose you are thinking the other way round. From the point of view of the Mini2440 you want to download to your 2440. That means, the xdnw and boot_usb have to be upload tools. Does that answer your question ? Regards, Ben
again..this is not so understood... i am tring to do nand bk on mini2240 ; option U: //////////////////////////////////////////////////////// [u] Backup NAND Flash to HOST through USB(upload) [r] Restore NAND Flash from HOST through USB [q] Goto shell of vivi [i] Version: 1138-2K Enter your selection: u Backup Information: Start Addr : 0x0 End Addr : 0x10000000 bBackupOOB : 1 bCheckBad : 1 dwBackupTotalLen : 0x10800000 dwReservedBlks : 28 dwEPInPktSize : 32 Use dnw.exe to receive backup. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////// i am only linux user, see that with usbpush install came also: usbpush/boot_usb # ls boot_usb.c boot_usb.o lsusb.txt Makefile READMs3c2410_boot_usbE Can i use s3c2410_boot_usb to make bk from the nand or what is the right linux alternative to dnw.exe???
