Hi, I have looked all through these forums and I am not sure any entry in here solves this problem. What is the easiest way to change the boot logo on the mini2440 from the penguin? I am running the device with qt4. Please let me know if you have further questions.
You have to recompile the kernel from source code, the logo picture is embedded in the kernel image. I think there is a chapter in the documentation, wich describes how to convert an image to a boot logo file (xpm I think) and where to place it in the kernel source tree
nickjet u can change the logo by replacing the current logo. The boot logo is in .ppm format so any image format has to be converted in to .ppm. You can see go through this link for details http://tusharpatil.in/?p=182
