Hi,

Are you sure there are embedded temperature sensors on S3C2440 and S3C6410
chips? I am not sure to have seen something like that somewhere. I don't
think it's possible.

Mohsen, Commercial -20 to +70 but I think you can push it to full
Industrial range -40 to +85. They are being used in the Arctic and in
equatorial deserts.

Commercial range screening means it doesn't fail over the commercial range.
It does not mean that it will fail if you get hotter or colder.

If the Commercial grade parts are chosen from rejects from Industrial range
screening, then you would be stuck, but I doubt that is a problem. These
are originally cell phone chips and people expect cell phones to work
anywhere anytime. The LCD will quit long before the processor.

If there is a P-N junction on the chip where an A/D can read the voltage
drop, you could get the temperature. Or glue an old NPN transistor to the
S3C2440 and trickle some current though a resistor and the base-emitter
junction and read with the A/D.
