I just recently got my 6410 shipped and I was wondering how to get Xubuntu working on it. I'm sure it's possible because I saw some youtube videos on it. Does anyone know how this can be done? I'm completely new to Linux by the way.
Running Xubuntu on a Mini 6410?
See the PDF mini6410-Usermanual included into the DVD. You need a SD and some files from the DVD. - Format the SD using FAT32 - Flash Superboot into the SD using SD-Flasher.exe - Create a directory "images" into the SD. - Copy the file FriendlyARM.ini from the DVD(images) to SD(images) - Copy the folder Ubuntu from the DVD(images) to SD(images) - Edit the file FriendlyARM.ini(SD) and change the line "Action=install" to "Action=run" and the line "OS= Linux" to "OS= Ubuntu" Plug the SD to the board and change the switch NAND to NOR and power on the board. PD: The system it's Xubuntu but the directory was named Ubuntu.
Hello, I bought a FL6410 board in China and want to run Xubuntu on it. Is it possible to use the same image from the mini6410 DVD? Where can I download the Image and the ini?
Hi, I am trying to get it running as well but the dvd doesn't have all the stuff I need.I have a mini6410 with H4.3 LCD and making xubuntu image in ubuntu 10.04 http://www.arm9.net/um/User-Guide-to-Mini6410-Ubuntu_041611.pdf I can't make rootfs-ubuntu-0910.ubi,rootfs-ubuntu-0910.ext3 because ubuntu-kernel-2.6.28-20100622.tar.gz and rootfs-ubuntu-0910-20100917.tar.gz are missing. mkubimage-slc utility doesn't seem to be working either. Would appreciate it if some one help me. Thanks
