Restore to Factory Defaults

Jay Lau
Hi,

I'm trying to set my MINI2440 to factory defaults. It was stored in a safe
place for sometime and now, I turn it on I don't see anything on the
screen.

I found the "Friendly ARM Downloader Instruction" in an attempt set it to
factory defaults (like new condition).

On the 6th step, Formating the NAND flash, I got the "block error message",
see below, and I can't continue with the rest of the instructions.

Any suggestions or fix to my scenario? or what I need to do first or did I
screw up again?

Thanks

j

Does it really stop you from proceeding?

Bad blocks are a fact of flash life. Perhaps, this is more serious then a
few bad blocks.

If all else fails, I would H-JTAG the latest version of Supervivi in and
try again.

It will let me go through step 7 but it will stop (hang up) in the middle
of the process.

I did J-TAG it after I sent the email but I still see nothing on the
screen. The J-Tagging went well without any errors.

Is my screen BAD? or something else went bad? any other documents you have
that points me in right direction?

When S2=NOR, LED1 = BLINK, LED3 = ON, LED2 & 4 = OFF, SCREEN OFF
When S2=NAND, LED1 - 4 = OFF ( I assume no activity), SCREEN = OFF, only
power LED = ON.

thanks.
