Hi, somebody already change any parameter of boa server or other file on linux to resolv names? I change my resolve.conf writting on it the directive 'search' with the name of my server. I edit also the boa.conf with 'ServerName' parameter. All tries were unsuccessfully.
DNS on mini2440
configured in /etc/resolv.conf using the following format nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx you can add multiple dns addresses by repeating the line any number of times.
Sorry, i didn't mention that my resolv.conf already is like u sad. I add the line with 'search' command, and the line with nameserver already was configured. But thanks i will keep trying.
Is the DNS server reachable from the mini? When you configured an IP address did you use correct subnet mask and specify a valid default gateway?
Yes, yes, all network parameters were configured. I already have progress, i'm trying improve my results. I ll try to register the mini on dns server, i presume that this way works. But i would like a better solution, for example, just typing the name of mini on browser and access it. Maybe configure the client machine also helps. Any idea is welcome. Thanks
Think this was answered recently ... in the last few weeks. in /etc/resolv.conf nameserver 192.168.1.1 specifically the DNS you want to use Also Juergen said there was another step, see if you can find it.
