Could someone gimme a push in the right direction, because the whole area between linux and Android (or any 2 OS's) is still vague to me. I'm not really a software engineer, so could anyone explain the main steps to take to get the camera to work in Android? I've got Android running on the micro2440 with Internet (through cable). I suppose I should be able to call CAM130 as native camera using the driver given here? What should I do..
How to use CAM130 as native Android camera?
you can go to this web http://hi.baidu.com/andy_embedded/blog/item/e46edb31e25ba485a71e1260.html to ask the author about your question. He knew how to use camera on Android system. He also ported the camera HAL into Android2.1. The type of cameras are USB webcam and CMOS(OV9530). Hope you can solve your problem
Hm thanx, I'll take a look although I dont understand Chinese or whatever it is. But I see he's using the newer devboard (6410) Maybe its just technically not possible since android 1.5 is running quite slow with 64MBram on the 2440. I guess I'll just stick with the wifi then, if it works in android.
