christian, Seeing as you are getting somewhere with Arora I replied to one of your recent emails regarding <passwords> and the POST command. However, another issue which you seem to have identified was another small problem to me. When you go into Tools -> options the pages that are displayed can not be made smaller (or bigger). You appear to have solved this for Xorg. Do you know how to fix this problem using the Qt framework and WebKit? Thanks, Dave
Arora,
Can you describe better this issue? The truth is, I haven't tried many options yet. Fonts can be made smaller, but images aren't reduced for the small screen, so pages turn out to be very big. I need the browser for a local web server with pages optimized for the resolution, so this isn't an issue for me. One of the problems is that even arora "works", it runs fairly slow. I would like to use something like Dillo, but it's not available as a package for debian armel, so I'm looking for an alternative. Also, for input I'm using matchbox-keyboard, and it takes a lot to fill a search box in arora. Tomorrow I will look into tools > options and maybe I will understand better the issue.
cristian, CRTL+ and CRTL- change the size of the page you have browsed to. However, if you try to use any of the menu selections, the page is very large and CRTL+/CRTL- does not change this page size. I can scroll to the right of the page but not to the bottom. If you haven't experienced it not to worry. I just saw someone who knew what Arora was and jumped at the opportunity to see if they were a "power-user". Cheers, Dave
Buried in these 15 pages http://billforums.station51.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15 you will see attempts at getting Arora running on the mini2440. The last few years I have been using the Pengutronix BSPs which allow, among many other things, one to build Arora. This browser and the /demo/browser in the Pengutronix BSP, which I use, are fairly basic. Good luck!
